Remember in September – A Daily Post for National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month Post #3

#3.

My Loud Whispers of Hope

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.

Every day in the month of September I will post something related to suicide to increase awareness, educate and prevent suicide. It may be some important facts, an educational video, a music video, other videos, quotes, stories and anything to increase awareness, educate and give hope to everyone who has suicidal thoughts, suicidal ideations or is a survivor of a friend or family member that died by suicide.

I must confess that this first week in September will be difficult for me to make a great post a day, as I am working three more days and my son is getting married on Friday, September 8th. I will be very busy getting my house ready, finishing up on shopping, preparations and family coming to visit.

Also, it is the first day of school on Tuesday, September 5th for my youngest daughter. It is…

September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month

#1. 2 and 3 to follow.

My Loud Whispers of Hope

September is Natioanl Suicide Prevention Awareness Month

Everyone, please remember that September is suicide prevention awareness month, but everyday we need to help and prevent sucide. It is critical that everyone does their part. Do whatever you can. Be a friend, lend a hand, lend an ear or a shoulder to cry on. Just listen to someone. Show someone you care. Make a donation. Help someone out. Smile at and with people. Give and show people love and that you care about them. Make people aware of mental illness and how dangerous and real suicide is.

Yay! Today is September 1, 2017 and I have made it. I lived. I survived. I opened my eyes this morning and I am alive to live, enjoy and appreciate another day of living. I am happy to enjoy the beauty of living. It is a huge blessing from God. Thank you God…

When The Cat’s Away, The Mice Will Play

Quand le chat n’est pas là, les souris dansent

Cuando el gato no está, bailan los ratones

Wenn die Katze aus dem Haus ist, tanzen die Mäuse

In selecting this title, I learned a Canadian soft porn comedy of a similar name was released in 1972.  You can’t make this stuff up.  Mr. Google says so.  Prior to that, an American short of a similar name was released in 1936 starring Shemp Howard – the forgotten Stooge brother.  Now that we’ve enjoyed translating the Cat’s Away idiom and some movie trivia, shall we move along?

Lulu is a not cat but she is a serious soul.  I need to give her credit for all the stuff she did around here to keep this house in some semblance of clean.  B and I are not mice. Okay, B is not a mouse but I am or maybe I play one on TV.  Wait, that should be I am not a doctor, I just play one on TV.  Pftt, there goes my clutter free mind.

Doh! when a ramble starts off like this you better hold onto your horses.  Or maybe you should hold onto your hat?  Yep, that’s the idiom I am in search of.  Hang on peeps, it’s going to be a bumpy ramble.

Earlier I posted What’s on Tap for Your Labor Day Weekend? in which I wrote of our plans for today.  If you recall, I got the inside.  Boo!  Here are the two main reasons why I do not like to clean my house:

  1. Doing so makes me sweat and I do not like to sweat
  2. I can only clean compulsively, doing so is a never-ending curse

Once I get started, sacrebleu.  No stone goes unturned.  My cleaning theme song is Don’t Stop Me Now!  ❤ Freddy!!

Which is why Lulu was such a big help.  She tidied up like a NORMAL person.  Some of this stuff, well honestly, I am over the top, off the chain, you get the drift ;).

As I was working it, B came inside to get a drink of water … and shortly after he took away my supplies.

B: Jill, what in the hell are you doing?

Me: Cleaning

B: Get off the floor and put the rest of your clothes back on

Me: But Fred said.  Quick! get my phone and take a picture

Lol! He refused to take my picture.  In my defense, I was wearing a dress & drawers, it had hiked up a little sure <avert your eyes>  but too late.  Now that a mental image is branded into your brain, shall we proceed?

I had taken most everything out of the kitchen and filled the dining room table. Next, I finished off a bottle of Spic & Span cleaning the countertops.  While the counters were drying, I wiped down the cabinets.  The only thing wrong in the picture is our old sink.  The original new sink was not the right size (specs were incorrect online).  A different new one is on back order.

I swept and mopped the kitchen floor.  So gross!!!

And that’s when he came in and found me … lying on the floor doing the baseboard.

B: Seriously get up

Me: But the dust bunnies.  We’ve got to get rid of them before we have to start naming them.

He waited as I finished returning everything back to its proper place but not before my diatribe about how we really should move … Really, really we should! … Hey look! Let’s stage the kitchen … isn’t it so CLEAN right now?!?!?  I can call back the realtor guy.

I hardly realized he was moving me toward the couch.  Go on sit a spell.  Hey, I’ve got work to do!  Oh well, never mind. Squirrel.

As always, more to come.

What’s on Tap for Your Labor Day Weekend?

Us?   We’ll Labor.   B gets the outside:

I get the inside.  Mine is at least a two day job.  You see, I’ve been sitting around waiting for my life to begin again. Like a deer in the headlights. I was trapped by the thoughts in my brain … all 60,000+ of them daily.  So much so that I got little to nothing done.

Now that my brain is temporarily removed of all clutter and my little helper is away at school, the time has come for moi to get to work.

Or, I can go down a rabbit hole and teach myself to speak French. LOL. Sacrebleu and moi will have to do.  For now …

Wait! squirrel!  There are bound to be places I can go after work to learn a 2nd language.  Really now thoughts, just stop it!  Take a hike, scram!!!

I cannot wait to proclaim this house is clean.  Said in the voice of Zelda from the movie Poltergeist.

As always, more to come.

I Still Dislike Shoe Shopping

I wrote this one year ago …

I am trying to find shoes online because the thought of schlepping store to store makes me physically ill 😦 I am quickly overwhelmed by all the choices. My how things have changed … they sell smoking flats … what the hell are those … flats you wear while smoking ??!? Flats that look smokin’ as in smoking HOT! I wish I had a shoe fairy … just like a tooth fairy … I’d leave the cash under my pillow and he could bring me new shoes. A girl can dream can’t she?

Why Do You Do That?

In HEB, I stop and took a picture of two Wonder Woman dolls.

B: Why do you do that?

Me: Do what?

B: Take pictures with your phone of random stuff.  You should buy a camera and go out into  nature.

Me: Ugh! You’re another person telling me I should buy something.  Money can’t buy me love.

B: Beatles.  I named that tune.

Click this link.  George is still my favorite Beatle.

Me: Listen!  Our HEB has a pretty good play list.

We heard the end of RHCP Under the Bridge and right into Genesis I Can’t Dance.
B: And here goes the singing and the dancing.

Me: Of course your own personal Wonder Woman is kick  ass!

For those who don’t really know me, I may or may not be using sarcasm.  Rock on wit ur bad selves.

As always more to come.
