Review of End of Watch: A Novel (The Bill Hodges Trilogy)

No spoilers here. I highly recommend you read this book (after the first two of course) and let yourself be drawn in. To me this was an awesome end to the trilogy. A happy ending even with loss of life. As always the characters become real to me and the feelings evoked are lifelike even if outside my day to day world.

And is that not the beauty of story telling? To be mentally transported to another place. Hodges, Holly and Jerome = family. Nontraditional maybe but family just the same. Brady, Dr. Z, Z-Boy and Freddie are flawed tragic people.  The social commentary regarding suicide is necessary. If just one person is saved bonus score. 1-800-273-TALK.
